Hi, I’m Brie!
I’m the photographer behind Dry Creek Photo Co, but most days I’m a middle school teacher, chasing my husband, kids, and dogs around, usually with a book in one hand and a Red Bull in the other, or sitting on the sidelines of a sporting event. We’re based in Buckeye, Arizona, and life is usually a little chaotic in the best way.
This business started as a hobby because of our kids. We’re deep in the sports phase, always running from one game to the next, and somewhere in the middle of all that I realized how fast it all goes. I started wanting to hold onto it more, not just the big plays, but the small moments you don’t always notice until they’re gone.
At first, I was just taking photos for my own family and friends, nothing serious, but it didn’t take long to realize I actually loved it. I’ve always been the one with way too many photos and videos on my phone, saving everything I don’t want to forget, and picking up a camera just made it feel a little more meaningful.
Right now I mostly shoot youth sports because it’s what I’m already doing most of the time. I genuinely love getting to capture those moments, the big plays, the reactions, and the celebrations that follow. That same approach carries into my family sessions too, I love the more put-together photos, but I still keep things easy and natural. As a wife and mom, I get it, no one wants to be there forever, so my goal is to keep it quick and painless… something your husband and kids can get through without much complaining, and you still walk away with photos you’ll love for years.
